Stress & Food: The Hidden Weight Gain Loop
If you feel guilt, fear, or anxiety every time you eat, you could be putting your body into a stress response. That means:

❌ Nutrient absorption drops
❌ Cortisol and insulin levels spike
Even if it’s a perfectly healthy meal, your body perceives danger. And when the body is stressed, it stores fat, especially around the belly.

🧠 Rewire Your Food Beliefs Practice eating with calm, not fear. Trust your body again. Know that nourishing food is not the enemy.
🧘♀️ Nervous System Reset Support your parasympathetic system (rest + digest) with deep breathing, mindful eating, walking, and magnesium-rich foods.
🍽️ Eat Consistently Ditch the “starve then binge” cycle. Balanced meals reduce cortisol and stabilise appetite.
💬 Rewrite the Script Try saying: "This meal supports my body." "I trust my hunger and fullness." "Food is my ally, not a threat."
You don’t need more food rules.
You need safety around food. When the body feels safe, it lets go of what it no longer needs, including excess weight.
